The Effortless Meditation Workshop
A live online workshop with Christopher Grant and Daniela Hess
Sunday, June 21 · 1 to 4pm Eastern
You're not 'bad' at meditation - 'quieting your mind' was never the point. You were just shown the wrong doorway.
The Effortless Meditation Workshop is a three-hour live experience for people who have tried to meditate and quietly given up - and for people who know they should meditate and honestly don't enjoy it, so they skip it.
'I went from a dark place, battling anxiety and depression, unhappy with my life. I didn't force meditation as I normally would have been inclined to do. It just happened. I can pause now and feel into my heart space any time and let it guide me.' ~ Patty M.
When: Sunday, June 21 from 1-4pm EST / NY
Time: 1 pm - 4 pm ET (10am - 1pm PT)
Where: online on Zoom
Replays : Sent to all who register
The thing almost no one tells you
The measure of a good meditation is not a silent mind.
You can have a steady stream of thoughts running the entire time and still have a complete, successful meditation. Most people give up because they are grading themselves against a standard that was never real - a standard that was simply passed down from teacher to student without anyone stopping to question it.
Think of it the way you would think about photographing an eagle. You cannot force an eagle to fly past. What you can do is go to where the eagles are, set up, take the lens cap off, and wait. You make yourself ready and it comes to you.
Rest works exactly the same way. You do not make it happen by trying harder. You prepare the conditions and it finds you. What we teach in this workshop is precisely how to prepare those conditions - which is the whole reason people who arrived certain they could not do this leave having done it.
The story behind why we built this
One of us spent years convinced he was a 'lost cause' as a meditator.
Christopher tried to meditate in college and could not sit still. He tried again in the backroom of the Caravan of Dreams cafe in New York City and walked out after 15 minutes. Everything he read told him the same thing: quiet your mind, sit still, try harder. So he decided meditation simply was not for him.
It was not for him in that form.
The day it finally opened was the day he stopped trying to force stillness and came in through the body instead - through movement and breath and the felt sense of being alive. The door that had been locked for years was never locked. He had simply been trying to go through the wrong one.
If this sounds familiar - here is what actually happened
If you have tried to meditate and walked away genuinely believing 'my mind is too busy' or 'I am just not a meditator' - you have NOT failed. You were shown one doorway and told it was the right one for you. It wasn't. And that is not your fault.
Many meditation teachers and yoga teachers simply share the one practice that somebody else taught them - not even knowing whether it was a genuine match for them personally, let alone for their students. It gets passed down as THE way, when it was always just one way. One doorway among many.
In this workshop we will guide you through three meditations that literally everyone can do. You simply cannot fail at these. We have led thousands of students through this material, and what we hear again and again is that this was the MOMENT meditation finally stopped feeling like something they were bad at - and started feeling like something they actually looked forward to.
What three hours together actually looks like
This is not three hours of sitting and it is not three hours of lecture.
We move between teaching, direct experience, and rest - with real breaks built in so you stay comfortable the whole way through. You will move through three different doorways into deep rest, each one with a different entrance, so you can discover which one actually fits the way your mind and body work.
The last half hour is open Q&A. Ask us anything. We will stay with you until your questions are answered.
You do not need a cushion, a quiet house, or any experience at all. You need a chair or a bit of floor, headphones if you have them, and three hours that belong only to you.
What you will walk away with
A direct, felt experience of deep rest - what Andrew Huberman calls Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR) - accessed in real time, not as a concept but as something you have actually experienced in your own body.
Three different entrances to meditation, so you stop forcing the one that never worked and find the one that was genuinely built for a mind like yours.
Short practices you can genuinely return to in your real life - not a new three-hour-a-day habit you will abandon by Friday.
And the permanent end of the belief 'I am someone who cannot meditate.'

Why this matters far more than most people realize
Here is something I want you to sit with for a moment.
Most of us are living in a state of chronic low-grade stress that we have stopped noticing - not because it went away, but because it has become so constant that it simply feels like normal. The background hum of alert that follows you from the moment you wake up. The tension that lives in your shoulders, your jaw, your chest. The inability to fully exhale. The sleep that does not quite restore. We adapt to all of it. We call it life.
But the body keeps the score.
More than 1 in 4 American adults say that on most days, stress prevents them from functioning. Three in four feel it physically in their bodies every single month. And here is what most people never hear: chronic stress is a documented driver of low-grade inflammation in the body. When the nervous system stays locked in high alert over months and years, cortisol remains chronically elevated - and chronically elevated cortisol is linked to a sustained state of low-grade inflammation, quietly, in the background, largely without symptoms, until eventually it is not quiet anymore.
Chronic inflammation is increasingly recognized as a common thread running through many chronic diseases. Heart disease. Autoimmune conditions. Cognitive decline. Metabolic dysfunction. These are not separate problems that arrive out of nowhere. Many of them share the same thread: a nervous system that was never given what it needed to come off high alert.
Most people never trace their health back to the baseline state their nervous system has been running in for years. Most people never make that connection.
This workshop is not a stress management tip. It is a direct experience of the opposite state - and the knowledge of how to return there on your own whenever you need to. Over time, that knowledge is not a small thing. It is everything.

Your teachers
Christopher Grant and Daniela Hess have spent more than a decade guiding people into movement, breath, and meditation, and have trained thousands of teachers and students around the world.
Christopher teaches through the body and the felt sense - the way meditation finally opened for him. Daniela brings the inner and emotional dimension of the work, drawing on functional medicine, psychology, and decades of contemplative practice.
For many students in their trainings, this was the piece they pointed back to later as the moment meditation finally stopped feeling out of reach.
Three hours. Two teachers. $33.
We have kept this simple.
Three hours live with both of us, for the price of lunch. You keep the full replay, so the afternoon is never lost if life interrupts, and a short take-home guide so you can return to the experience on your own.
Our promise to you: Come and take part. If you leave without a single real moment of rest, write to us and we will refund every dollar, no questions asked.
This happens once, live
This workshop is taught live, one time, on Sunday June 21.
We are in the room with you, answering your questions in real time, the way these things are meant to happen. When the afternoon is over, it is over. The replay goes only to people who registered.
You have probably told yourself before that you would get to this. That you would finally figure out how to settle your mind, come home to yourself, find the rest that is supposed to be available to you.
If you participate in the workshop and don't experience meditation in the way that we are promising, please email us and we'll refund your tuition, no questions asked.
